A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: Well proportioned, athletic 6-foot, 165lb frame with projection left and feel on the bump.
Pitching: LHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with a quick/short side rocker using a medium stack position with pace on the leg lift. Held rhythm down the mound getting stretched at footstrike with good stride length and held direction well on the release (H ¾). FB ranged from 80-83 mph with natural arm-side run to the bottom of the zone (15+ inches of AVG HM via Trackman) and mixed a sharp, two-plane breaker at 67-69 mph with both depth and bite up to T2300+ spin (1/7 tilt). Killed the spin on a 69-71 mph CH with consistent fade and appeared as a legitimate third pitch that was thrown with confidence.
6/29/20
Physical: 5-foot-11, 140 pounds; lean, athletic. 7.78 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Slightly open wide stance with bat waggle; hands load straight back with an even lift & replace stride. strong lower half, stays behind the ball with direct path. Pull side approach with developing power; peak Trackman exit velocity of 80 MPH. Defensively: Low to the ground, walks into ready position; laid back, covers ground laterally. Fields out front, clean transfer; low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 78 MPH. Pitching: Arm side setup, simple repeatable delivery; firm front side with effortless delivery. Smooth, fluid arm action from standard 3/4 slot. FB: T 78MPH, 76-78 MPH. FB looks to have natural cut action but trackman metrics show above average arm side run. CB: 60-63 MPH. CB with 2-8 rotation, with above average depth & horizontal movement. CH: 68-69 MPH. CH has good arm side run.
10/12/19
5-foot-10, 125-pound primary pitcher sat 72-73 from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose, easy arm action. Showcased a quick arm with natural cut to his fastball. Curveball at 62-63 displayed 1/7 rotation with a high spin rate. Changeup is an above average pitch thrown with good sell at 67-68. The left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed balance throughout with a feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 75 mph and ran an 8.02 60-yard dash. Showcased a soft glove hand with accurate 73 mph arm strength across the diamond from first base. Solid two-way skill set will continue to develop with strength gains and physical maturity.
