Demonstrated a lean and athletic 5-foot-10, 162-pound frame with present feel for his body. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a quick toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone with fluidity in the lower half allowing for quality extension through the ball. Showcased a line drive approach to all fields during batting practice with feel for the barrel. Displayed raw athleticism in the swing creating some twitch in the hands allowing for occasional pull-side lift. Recorded an 82 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 4.37 home-to-first, showing off the athleticism he possesses. The primary shortstop displayed solid footwork with a low center of gravity, beating the ball to the spot before creating downhill momentum towards the target with regularity. Soft hands played well out in front yielding accurate 80 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a repeatable, high ¾ arm-slot with ability to throw from different arm angles on the run.

5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a wide, slightly open stance which helps him be athletic at the plate as evidenced by his batting practice round where he showed feel for the barrel to all fields. Showed soft hands and active feet in the field by continuously playing balls with momentum towards first base. Registered a 76 mph arm strength across the infield. Has shown the ability to be a good overall defender, however his 4.64 home-to-first time will need to come down in order for him to stay in the middle of the field at the next level.

Offensively, initiates swing from open set up with stride to slightly closed. There is adequate separation. Weight shift is passive followed by aggressive hip turn. Hands are quick and direct to baseball with corresponding short swing. Bat is on plane early and late. There is solid feel for barrel with Beattie squaring ball consistently in his round of bp.
Defensively, Beattie works bottom up and out front. He attacks ball creating advantageous hops and angles while consistently playing through the ball and following throws.
