2028 IF/RHP Austin Ellis (North Hills) Ellis possesses a strong, athletic 6-foot-2, 190.7 lbs frame. He ran a quick 6.97-second 60-yard dash. Offensively, the right-handed hitter registered a peak exit velocity of 96 mph with a 60% sweet-spot rate. Defensively on the dirt, he recorded an 81 mph infield velocity. On the mound, the right-hander was equally impressive, running his fastball up to 86 mph with high spin (avg 2169 rpm), pairing it with a sharp 73-75 mph curveball (avg 2378 rpm) and an 81 mph changeup. Grip Strength: 124.9 / 127.8

Physical: 5-9, 140 pounds; Wiry, lean build. 7.85 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a downward swing path with a two handed finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 80 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while utilizing a quick first step. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Short take back from a low 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 74 MPH. OF - 77 MPH.

Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 75 MPH, while sitting 72-75 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 60-63 MPH; 1-7 shape. CH: 69-72 MPH; maintains same plain.
