6/14/22

Physical: Wiry athletic 5-foot-11, 155lb frame with upside available. 6.79 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Open, bent stance, as a high-elbowed start controlled the barrel on the backend. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate a connected turn through a flat path into the hitting zone. Some barrel-lag present, which produced a T89 mph exit velocity and 70% sweet spot during his round. Also found multiple deep drives to the pull-side gap, maxing out at 328 feet (277 ft. AVG) with more to come.

Defensively: The middle infielder featured up-tempo feet and used his length to cover ground across the bag at second. Reached back for a live 88 mph arm-strength positionally and made all the plays, including an accurate throw on the run.

Pitching: RHP. Starts off the left side; repeatable delivery with moderate pace down the slope. Held direction into the mitt form H ¾ slot at 82-84 mph (2030) with arm-side run. Mixed a sweeping 70-72 mph CB with feel to spin and a commanded 74-77 mph CH (100% zone).

2/06/21

Physical: Lean 5-foot-7, 130-pound frame with plenty of room to fill out; athletic in the actions and quality feel for the movements at this moment. 7.39 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Crouched, open stance / weight dispersed 55-45 between the front and back sides as the hands worked with rhythm off of the shoulder preload. Utilized a leg lift stride in order to initiate the barrel through a flat path and into the hitting zone. Generated a standout 55% line drive rate during his batting practice round with adjustability present in the lower half and advanced barrel control offensively. Pounded the RCF gap with extra base hit ability while approaching an 86 mph exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. Above-average feel for the timing mechanism and there’s room for more power once the strength comes. This is just the start of what should be a solid hitter in the class.

Defensively: The primary middle infielder showed solid footwork beating the ball to the spot and working hard early in routes. Got the chest downhill and played right to left with the momentum at the fielding window using a soft glove hand both aggressively and to give at times. Nice range to the glove hand side and got into backhand position on time as well while holding momentum towards the target. Accurate 77 mph arm strength, which will easily improve over the next couple years.

2/22/20

Displayed a lean 5-foot-7, 130-pound frame with room to fill out and add strength as he matures. The left-handed hitter begins with an open stance with high hands at the head utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated slight sink into the lower half while hitting behind the baseball with a strong top hand. Recorded a 71 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice and ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder featured soft hands and a low center of gravity allowing for some range to both sides. Feet created momentum towards the target yielding accurate 71 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a high ¾ arm-slot. The right-handed pitcher sat 73-74 mph out of a compact delivery using a repeatable, high ¾ arm-slot. Mixed in a 64-66 mph changeup thrown with quality arm-speed showing occasional arm-side fade.
