Physical: 6-foot-5, 220LBS. Athletic, sturdy build. 7.38 runner. Two - way prospect working out at 3B and on the mound. Liberty Commit.
Offensively: Has a presence in the box. Begins slightly open with bent knees. Leg hang initiates load, hands go from ear, back. Barrel whips into an early connection position as hands are loaded. Well connected swing that produced a 100MPH exit velocity. Maintains balance throughout the swing.
Defensive: Easy actions around the bag at 3B. Quick funnel to belt line, footworks plays. Showed ability to work through the short hop. Worked in a straight line towards 1B.
Pitching: High ceiling on the mound. Simple delivery that produces a FB running up to 93MPH. Starts in the middle of the mound with both heels near the rubber. Rocker step leads to leg lift to chest, hands move in collaboration with the leg lift. Arm works without restrictions and releases from a high 3/4 arm slot. Arm slot creates uncomfortable at-bat. Gets downhill well to get to a slightly open landing point.
Liberty commit. 6-foot-3, 215-pound two-way prospect impressed with his physicality and all-around athleticism. The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a leg-hang stride. Showcased above average rhythm while staying behind the baseball with an uphill path through the zone and present power to the pull side. Registered a bat exit velocity of 97 mph and ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Feet work well at third base and flashed 91 mph arm strength across the diamond. Righty sat 91-92 off the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot with a deliberate side rocker step to begin. Fastball command was an issue on this date. Curveball at 70-72 with 11/5 rotation showed solid depth. Also displayed a feel for his changeup at 70-73 with late tumbling action.
6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed hitter with a very projectable frame. Starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showcased a balanced approach with some present power and a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash and displayed active feet defensively while routinely playing through the baseball with good carry on throws of 89 mph across the diamond.
