Physical: The recent Villanova commit stands 6-foot-3, 200lbs with strength and athleticism carrying across all phases. 7.24 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, slightly open stance with the hands starting flat on the shoulder, slightly wrapped around the head to start. Utilized a stretched load position back to the outside of the shoulder coupled with an on-time leg lift with reach out towards the pitcher. Wide attack generating good ground power and rotational scores, working his way up to an impressive 26 mph hand speed per Blast Motion, entering through a flat path into the hitting zone. Recorded a 99 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball with legitimate feel for the whole field; bat to ball skills played in batting practice, transferring over to game action with lower strikeout rates.
Defensively: The primary third baseman flashed quick, choppy steps early off the bat, gaining leverage with momentum at the fielding window. Kept a medium posture with a soft glove hand operating out in front of the toes, accurate/clean exchange into the stomach with continued pace on reps across the diamond. Arm strength plays with low intent (high ¾, 74 mph). Handled plays to the glove hand side/on the run extremely well.
Physically: 6’3 200lb 3B/RHP ran a 7.25 laser timed 60-yard dash. Long and lanky frame has solid size to continue to develop strength and power.
Offensively: Starts in an upright stance, he uses a leg kick that gets his momentum moving forward into the pitch. He keeps the barrel quiet and simple throughout the swing, engaging his back side as his hands begin to enter the hitting zone.
Defensively: Keeps his movements simple as the ball gets to him, he lowers his center of gravity. Easy footwork after receiving the ball. His arm is short and quick from a high ¾ arm slot on most throws.
Pitching: Works with intent and up tempo movements. He gets the front leg up and down hill toward the hitter quickly. Arm works short and on top of the ball. Mechanics cleaned when went to the stretch, which allowed him to be more efficient to the plate.
Physical: 6-foot-2, 185-pounds. High end athleticism; proportional frame. 7.38 runner in the 60; 4.45 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Upright stance; slightly open with quiet timing mechanisms. Aggressive lower half. Short swing path: ball jumps off the bat. Bat wraps around the bat with his finish. Consistent, hard contact through the middle with developing power. 83 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Upright setup; active feet with open leg on his glove side. Stays upright through fielding process and release. Projects well at the corner spots. Low 3/4 slot with a bit of a sling release. INF - 74 MPH.
Pitching: Steady pace with a short drop step and leg lift above the waist, sinks into the back leg as strides out to a slightly open landing while keeping the front shoulder on target before finishing with an easy effort release and follow through. Short take away to a clean 3/4 release. FB: T80, 77-80 MPH. Commands in the zone. CB: 61-63 MPH. Gets underneath it a bit, flashed one with a sharp 11-5 shape. CH: 74-76 MPH. Maintains arm speed.
