2/3/19 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a leg-lift stride. Displayed balance throughout with a short swing path and the ability to drive the baseball to both gaps with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash and showcased solid footwork with short throwing motion defensively. Registered pop times of 2.01-2.06 on throws of 74 mph from the crouch.

10/7/18 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound backstop continues to showcase advanced defensive abilities behind the dish. On this date Bechtold flashed pop times of 1.98-2.07 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. He is athletic behind the plate and is a quiet receiver. His footwork and transition are clean and there is little wasted movement in his catch and release. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a middle of the field approach during a solid round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash and showcased the capability to handle defensive chores at second base as well.

8/19/18 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound backstop impressed with his work behind the plate, throwing out several runners attempting to steal in game action with a top in-game pop time of 2.04. Quiet receiver blocks well and commands the game. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-5 with an RBI during tournament play.

6/20/18 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound backstop showcased quick feet and an efficient transition with pop times of 2.01-2.08 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. Registered a 2.04 pop time on a caught stealing in game action. A bit undersized, but very athletic behind the plate with above average receiving and blocking skills. Right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Barreled the baseball all over the field in batting practice and put together one quality at bat after another in game play. Showcased an 83 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.42 60-yard dash.

4/11/18 - Smallish backstop at 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Athletic receiver with quick transition and feet. Showed between inning pop times of 2.10-2.15 and cut down a runner trying to steal at third base in game action. Battled upper 80s velocity well out of the two hole. Turned around an 88 mph fastball for a barreled line drive out to left field in his second at bat. 

1/13/18 - 5-foot-8, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a heel-raise stride. Displayed a short swing path with a solid feel for the barrel and routinely squared the baseball to all fields. Registered a 76 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Above average defender showcased pop times of 2.07-2.15 on throws of 69 mph from the crouch. Times will continue to come down with work to shorten throwing motion. Impressed with receiving skills during bullpen phase of the event.
