6/25/14 Newcomb went 3-for-6 with a sacrifice fly over two days of game action. Two of the 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitter's singles were of the infield variety. Newcomb ran a 7.04 60-yard dash and displayed above average arm strength (85 mph) from his outfield position. The uncommitted junior entered the Class of 2015 rankings as a result of his play at the Top Prospect and Underclass Games in back-to-back weeks.

6/18/14 Newcomb is a 6-foot, 170-pound prospect that showcased a well-rounded skill set. The right-handed hitter displayed a 79 mph bat exit velocity hitting from a square stance. Newcomb 3-for-6 with a double and a triple in game action over two days. He showed athletic actions in the outfield with an 81 mph arm and ran a 6.73 60-yard dash.
