Physical: Strong, thick 6-foot-2, 190lb frame. 7.47 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Simple stance with the hands pre-set above the shoulder to begin; utilized a stretched lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a sweeping, uphill path towards a two-handed finish. Created a lofty approach during his round while hitting behind the ball, producing a T90 mph bat-exit velocity. Worked into the 326 foot distance range and projects to hit for extra-bases at the next level.
Defensively: The third baseman used longer strides to cover ground to his left, finishing with accurate 82 mph arm-strength on the front side. Some whippy actions available, made the play on the run as well.
Pitching: RHP. Stretch-only from the middle of the rubber; found a balanced stack and tilted downward into the finish, falling off to the glove side at 79-80 mph for deception. Mixed a developing low-70’s CB with shorter movement that had varying success in the zone.
Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot-1, 190lb with durability found. 7.60 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance as the hands operated smoothly at the shoulder to start. Utilized a short leg lift stride, initiating the bat head through a slightly uphill, lifted path into the hitting zone. Held good direction towards the middle of the field, notching a 50% fly ball rate with loft in the approach. Hit into a stiff/sturdy front-side, extending on-time with some leverage at impact. Posted a T85 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak en route to a near 290 foot batted ball distance (occasional doubles power).
Defensively: The shortstop featured adequate footwork, arriving with natural posture and some fluidity through the fielding window. The glove hand worked softly and funneled inward, holding rhythm right, left to the target (H ¾ slot, 75 mph arm). Handled the play on the run with finesse, throwing accurately across his body.
Pitching: RHP - The righty started off the left side of the rubber with moderate pace in the delivery; compact move down the slope after coming to a balanced stack, repeating at a H ¾ slot. The FB ranged 74-76 mph with lower spin, appearing heavy at times into the zone. Mixed a short, gradual 61-64 mph CB on an 11/5 tilt with ability to land for strikes at a high rate (75% zone rate via Trackman). Dropped in a commanded 65-67 mph CH at 1642rpms with big time fade.
