Physical: Twitchy/athletic 5-foot-8, 160lb frame with room to continue adding strength as he matures. 7.04 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Top of the order presence with ready bat-speed from the right side. Started from a balanced, slightly bent stance with the hands loose under the shoulder. Utilized a stretched, lagged load position to the deep part of the shoulder coupled with a leg lift stride outward to initiate an explosive launch through a flat path, lifting after impact. Put on an impressive round of batting practice, notching an advanced 70% hard hit rate per Trackman Baseball. Sprayed barrels through the middle of the field, backspinning a few up to near 360 feet to the LCF wall. Posted a 100 mph bat-exit velocity pointing towards efficient movement patterns in all phases.
Defensively: The primary center fielder generated early reads off the bat with natural ball skills in space. Can cover ground in the air and takes good angles to the baseball on the approach. Did not throw on this date, but has been mid 80’s in the past. Will be fun to watch him track it down in the middle of the field for years to come.
Physical: Twitchy and athletic 5-foot-7, 155-pound frame with room to add strength as he matures. 7.30 runner in the 60-yard dash with short, quick strides.
Offensively: Switch hitter. Mirrors from both sides of the plate; tall, open stance with a slight bend in the knees as the hands started idle on the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a barrel raise coupled with a leg-hang stride to unleash a quick and violent, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Was repeatedly on time at the front of the plate yielding hard contact to the pull-side with legitimate juice to the LCF gap. The hands were lightning quick registering a 22.70 mph max hand speed per Blast Motion, grading out well above average in comparison to his peers. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 88 mph per Trackman baseball and a max distance of 313 feet.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured natural instincts during defensive evaluations with a quick first step in either direction, was able to get around the balls in the gap and play downhill through the fielding window while fielding off of his left side on the approach. Demonstrated a multitude of routes in the toolbox with feel for the drop step technique as well as banana routes to get momentum towards the target. The arm was loose and athletic through a high ¾ slot towards the target. OF - 82 mph
