Physical: Long-legged, projectable 6-foot-4, 180lb frame with room to fill.
Pitching: RHP. Works from the stretch-only off of the middle/left side of the rubber. Hides the ball well early, extending into the mitt on the move into footstrike. Sat 77-79 mph on this date with lower-spin from top to bottom of the zone, adding an advanced 66-67 mph CB that flashed consistent two-plane action (2435).
5-foot-10, 140-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a heel-raise stride to begin. Displayed a flat barrel path and feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 7.82 60-yard dash. Showcased developing defensive skill set around the bag at first base with accurate 69 mph arm strength across the diamond. Also sat 70-73 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a short takeaway off the mound. Curveball showed 11/5 rolling action at 58-63 and changeup at 66-67 was relatively flat.
MD Winter Update
Lanky, athletic body type and 5’10’’, 140 pound frame. Hits from an athletic, balanced, square stance at the plate. Rock back load, showing some hand separation and a short stride. Flat slightly uphill swing path to contact. Shoulders level out past contact and swing gets a little long. Generates some lower half involvement and finishes unbalanced. Gap-to-gap line drive type hitter with occasional pop. Recorded a 75 mph exit velocity.
