Physical: 6-foot-0, 165 pounds; athletic build with some room to fill out. 7.29 runner in the 60.
Offensively: Switch Hitter. Both: Relaxed, upright stance; Both: bat waggle along with a small stride. R: limited effort, L: average effort with R: tries to lift the ball with an uphill swing plane, L: similar fly ball approach; 21 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Stretch is able to produce 4.6 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 49%. Hard contact in the air; average Trackman exit velocity of 87 MPH; peak exit velo was R-91 L-93 MPH.
Defensively: Upright with a small prep hop; deliberate, smooth approach of the ball. smooth hands, gets them down early, seamless transfer; medium arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 82 MPH.
5-foot-10, 160-pound switch-hitter showcased similar swings from both sides of the plate starting from a slightly open stance while using a short leg-hang stride to begin. Showed feel for the barrel from both sides with more lift from the left side. Registered a bat exit velocity of 86 mph and did not run the 60-yard dash on this date while recovering from a minor leg issue. Athletic defender showed fluid defensive acitons with a clean transition and easy 78 mph arm strength across the diamond.
1.26.19 - 5-foot-10, 140-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a heel raise stride. Showcased a solid feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 74 mph. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash and displayed easy, relaxed actions defensively with a soft glove hand and accurate 75 mph arm strength across the diamond.
7.10.18 - 5-foot-9, 130-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short leg-hang stride. Showcased a feel for the barrel during a solid round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash and showcased fluid defensive actions with a quick release and accurate 67 mph arm strength across the diamond. Routinely played through the baseball with active feet and showed confidence in his glove hand. Solid all-around skill set will continue to develop with strength gains and physical maturity.
