Notes

Comments

6/13/23

Physical: 6-3, 212 pounds; Long, sturdy build. 7.69 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a late one hand finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Short take back from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 81 MPH.

6/12/22

Physical: Above-average, muscular 6-foot-3, 195lb frame with projection; 7.70 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, slightly closed off front-side that showed plenty of rhythm in the hands. Utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate a fluid move through a slightly lifted path towards a two-handed finish. Stayed on the rear hip with a good pivot point and space to operate; recorded T89 mph exit velocity, intentful, and reached a top distance of 335 feet. A power bat to know in the class; developing XBH approach.

Defensively: The third baseman created a lower posture on the ball, staying on his toes and attacking out in front. Fielded softly and funneled with chopped footwork, hinging at the hips on a 77 mph arm-strength across the diamond. Threw well on the run too.
