Physical: Uber athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame with plenty of strength and feel throughout the movements. Ran a 6.71 60-yard dash demonstrating the impressive straight line speed he possesses. East Carolina commit.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands resting with slight rhythm at the shoulder upon setup. Utilized a repeatable lift and replace stride with some hip glide towards contact while using a small backwards move to the load position in order to initiate his swing. The barrel is unleashed into the zone through a whippy, slightly uphill path and impacts the ball with significant force at the front of the plate. Showcased gap to gap prowess in-game at the PA State Games with a multitude of extra base hits while also demonstrating advanced feel for his hands at the plate. Recorded a 91 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball during batting practice.
Defensively: The primary catcher featured a low setup with advanced receiving skills as he repeatedly beat the ball to the spot with a soft glove hand. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.19 on accurate throws out of a fluid but quick, high ¾ arm-slot showcasing next level arm strength. Got out of the crouch with power and control while utilizing impressive straight line footwork towards the target. With quicker transfers (slight pause from transfer to release) the pop times will hover consistently around 2.0 in showcase setting. Quality blocker worked hard for his pitchers creating downward chest angles and positive angles towards the plate on either side. C - 75 mph
