Notes

Comments

6/14/22

Physical: Lean, highly projectable 5-foot-11, 165lb frame. 6.86 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Narrow, taller stance, as the barrel starts at a 45 over the head. Utilized a high leg lift stride to initiate the swing through an uphill, whippy path towards a two-handed finish. Liked to lift to the big part of the yard, producing backspin at T91 mph bat-exit velocity for a 345 foot peak distance. Did some damage when timed up with leverage, intentful actions translate around the field.

Pitching: RHP. Operates from the stretch-only off of the middle of the rubber; above-average hip/shoulder separation down the slope, really gets on top of the hitter. Held every bit of 82-84, T85 mph with arm-side run, creating a funky angle at the plate. Added a gradual 69-71 mph SL up to 13 inches of HM and commanded an upper-70’s CH with east-west control of the zone.

2/27/22

Physical: Sturdy 5-foot-11, 165lb frame with some strength present. 7.31 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Wider, open stance, as the hands offered barrel-whip by the head pre-swing. Utilized a leg-kick stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards a violent two-handed finish. Demonstrated good leverage out in front of the plate, recording a T92 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Worked from a middle of the field approach during batting practice and stayed inside the body. Consistent bat-speed allowed him to handle the inner half of the zone.

Defensively: The third baseman showed a vertical glove hand early at the toes and set up on time at the fielding window. Funneled softly into the beltline and released from a L ¾ slot (77 mph).

Pitching: RHP - Operates from stretch-only with a medium leg-lift and good separation out of the glove. Unwinded down the slope and found strikes at the bottom of the zone from a ¾ release. The FB landed 82-83 mph with heavy arm-side run and mixed a sharp, sweeping 70-72 mph SL back across the plate. Featured a developing 77-78 mph CH that faded/killed spin (1398rpms).

10/30/21

Physical: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds; Long, athletic build. 7 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Extended take back of the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a high finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle  from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 77 MPH.

Pitching: Bukosky uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B, while working through a low 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 81-83 MPH; arm side run with sink.  SL: 67-69 MPH; short action. CH: 75-76 MPH; fading action.

8/24/21

Physical: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.08 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Short take back  from a while using various arm slots.   INF - 79 MPH.

Pitching: Bukosky uses a glove side setup while working primarily out of the stretch. Belt high leg drive keeps the shoulders stacked over the hips. Has a moderate stride length while landing slightly open. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B, while working through a standard 3/4 arm slot. Recoils with finish. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 83-85 MPH; life through the zone.  SL: 70-72 MPH; short action. CH: 75-77 MPH; fading action.
