Physical: High-waisted 5-foot-11, 180lb frame with projection left.
Pitching: RHP. Begins off of the far left side of the rubber with some hip-coil at the top of the stack. Gets out towards the plate on the stride and creates good extension down the slope, working north/south into the zone. Sat 80-83 mph on this date, strikes mostly, and added a 68-70 mph SL as the go-to with short lateral action. A 76-79 mph CH kept hitters honest at release from a similar slot and faded at times to the arm-side.
2/13/22
Physical: Lengthy 5-foot-11, 180lb frame with some projection. Athletic traits that produced high spin on the mound.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber utilizing adequate pace in the delivery. Found a balanced position at the stack (waist height) and worked elastically down the slope into the zone from a H ¾ release. Created hop on the FB out of the hand using a lower 5.0 ft. release, working up to 20 inches of IVB at 2106 RPMS AVG. Pounded arm-side at 82-84, T85 mph, turning to a quality two-plane CB in the upper 60’s on an 11/5 tilt. Was able to kill spin effectively on a 77-78 mph CH with consistent east-west fade and good extension out in front. Possible starter’s skillset down the road.
