Physical: 6-foot-0, 175 pounds; lean, projectable frame. 7.72 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Athletic, balanced; small leg lift. aggressive with attacks the ball with a flat path; 10 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Burger is able to produce 17.5 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 66%. Consistently barrrels the ball; average Trackman exit velocity of 86 MPH; peak exit velo was 94 MPH.
Defensively: Walks into ready position; consistent footwork getting around the ball. fields the ball in the middle of his body, smooth transfer; medium arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 79 MPH.
Pitching: Setup to the first base side, small side step before striding a tad closed off, shows some tempo. Short take back with a 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 79 MPH, 77-79 MPH. Holds its plane well with some arm side run. CB: 64-65 MPH. Late breaking, 11-5 shape, keeps it down. CH: MPH. Throws with deceptive arm speed.
6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short, leg-hang stride. Displayed solid fell for the barrel with a middle of the field approach. Registered a bat exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. Showcased active feet defensively with a capable glove and accurate 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. The righty sat 78-79 while topping at 80 mph off the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Also showed a curveball with 11/5 rotation at 62-66, and command of a changeup with natural cut at 68-71.
