8/1/15 Virbitsky impressed with an 87 mph fastball from an over the top arm slot and a power breaking ball at 77 mph with 12/6 rotation at the PBR Future Games. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound righty worked two solid inings also displaying a solid changeup at 78 mph. Virbitsky flashed his athleticism by flashing an 87 mph arm across the diamond while running a 7.46 60-yard dash on evaluation day. The right-handed hitter displayed a 95 mph bat exit velocity and went 2-for-6 with a walk at the plate during game action.
4/21/15 Looks every bit the 6-foot-4, 190-pounds at which we have him listed. Pitches from an over-the-top slot and has arm speed out front. Works fast. FB sat 84-85 in the first inning, 82-83 in the 2nd. Lived too much at the belt this day, but certainly has the size to get downhill. Very good feel for his CB at 72-73 that got a bunch of swings-and-misses. Showed some poise after giving up a HR to a UConn-bound bat when he got right back on the mound and threw a hellacious first-pitch change-up with attacking mindset to the next hitter. Quick feet on pickoffs.
7/20/14 Virbitsky flashed the skill set that has him currently ranked No. 17 in the PA Class of 2017. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound right-handed hitter displayed the ability to barrel the baseball consistently from a square stance with a high hands load during batting practice. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-9 with two doubles in game play while registering an 85 mph bat exit velocity. Virbitsky showcased an 82 mph arm across the diamond and a bit of a long arm throwing motion. While his size may force a move from shortstop his development on the mound will be interesting to watch. Virbitsky sat 77-80 from a high 3/4 arm slot during two scoreless innings of work. He commanded a 69 mph curveball thrown with good arm speed and showed a 72 mph changeup that also has potential.
5/9/14 Virbitsky is a lanky, high-waisted right-handed hitter. Showed solid actions with average arm, although has tendency to field the ball deep. Barreled up two different low-80s arms for a 2-3 day at the plate.
