PA State Games Session 1 (2026)
2027 IF/RHP Landon Eifler (North Catholic) Eifler features an imposing, highly physical 6-foot-4, 226.6 lbs frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter flashed massive raw power, hammering a peak exit velocity of 102 mph. Defensively, he worked on the infield, registering a strong 83 mph velocity across the diamond. On the mound, the right-hander ran his fastball up to 84 mph, pairing it with a 67-69 mph curveball and a 69-70 mph slider. Ran a 7.37-second 60-yard dash. Grip Strength: 152.9 / 139.7
Physical: Strong, XL 6-foot-3, 185-pound imposing frame. 7.51 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow, upright stance, as the hands work pre-set at a 45 over the shoulder. Utilized a direct lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing through a shorter, flat path into the hitting zone. Turned the barrel over the rear-hip with some bat-speed out front. Recorded a T89MPH EV and 75% sweet-spot rate during BP, up to 325 FT. Quiet load with the ability to get to top-speed quickly.
Defensively: The corner infielder showed off a glove-tap for rhythm and fielded athletically from a wider base. Gained ground towards the target with a 76MPH arm-strength (H ¾). Chance to handle a first base spot as well.
Pitching: RHP. Aggressive lower-half from a medium pace. Consistent, quality angle down the slope with a late breaking-ball that saw K’s looking. Pitched up to 83MPH (81-82) and worked ahead from at-bat to at-bat. Gutsy performance vs. Team Texas.
Physical: 6-3, 185 pounds; Long, slight build. 7.6 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Smooth swing with a consistent barrel path.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 76 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-82 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 66-69 MPH; slurve like action. CH: 71-73 MPH; maintains same plain.
