Physical: Strong, compact 5-foot-9, 185lb frame. 7.50 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wider, balanced stance, as the hands start from a powerful position to hit. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, repeatable path with bat-speed into the zone. Found consistent contact points at the front of the plate using an aggressive lower-half turn, recording a T89 mph exit velocity during BP. Middle of the order, gap-to-gap type of approach.
Defensively: The primary catcher featured pocket-awareness in the crouch and showed off an active backside on pop-times, grabbing 2.08-2.12 with a 73 mph arm-strength from H ¾ slot. Finished with intent over a firm lead-leg.
Pitching: RHP. Begins from the middle of the rubber; shorter, fluid arm-stroke out of a lower release height, commanding a 76-80 mph FB. Threw strikes and mixed a developing low-70’s CB with some small cut across the plate. Added a fading 66-68 mph CH (1226, 10 inches HM).
2/27/21
Physically: 5’8 175lb C/3B ran a 7.88 laser time 60 yard dash. Average build with some strength and power condensed in it.
Offensively: Starts in a simple stand with feet just outside of shoulder width. Stride forward as the hands slowly loads to back shoulder. Hands move quick when fired off. Stiffens up as swing gets to contact.
Defensively: Receives from a 1 knee down new school stance. Hands work together nicely on the transfer and has a quick release of the ball.
