Physical: The XL 6-foot-4, 227lber has worked hard over his body in the past year, gaining plenty more flexibility and athleticism in the movements.
Pitching: RHP - The primary righty started tall off the middle of the rubber with an imposing presence; quick pace to the delivery and repeated well, holding some separation into footstrike with easy balance at a H ¾ slot. Created some downhill tilt on an 82-84 mph FB (2034rpms, T14 inches arm-side run) mixing a two-plane, mid-60’s CB for strikes (sweeper) and landed a harder, more trusted 73-75 mph SL as the K offering (T16 inches of HM via Trackman). Countered with a developing 74-77 mph CH that created big fade on occasion. Solid ground work to improve off of as he keeps building confidence.
6-foot-2, 225-pound primary right-handed pitcher sat 72-75 mph from a low 3/4 arm-slot on fastballs utilizing a balanced, repeatable delivery. Showcased some feel on 62-64 mph curveballs that featured 10/4 tilt. Demonstrated good arm-speed on 70-71 mph changeups. The right-handed hitter starts with a square stance and uses a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. His lower half drifts, but when in control he was able to find barrels to the tune of an 81 mph bat-exit-velocity. Displayed adequate feel around the bag at first with aggressive feet helping his 76 mph throws carry across the infield. Ran an 8.94 60-yard dash.
6-foot, 225-pound primary pitcher sat 67-68 from a 3/4 arm slot with arm side run to his fastball. Curveball at 58-59 shows shorter, slider break with 10/4 rotation. Changeup is thrown with slower arm speed at 62-64. Displayed capable glove work around the bag at first base and accurate 61 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. An arm bar in load phase of swing leads to some barrel drag. Displayed a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 73 mph.
