Physical: 6-0, 160 pounds; Athletic, proportional build. 7.09 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; upright bat position. Lifts hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 89 MPH via Trackman. Gap to gap approach spraying consistent line drives. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; static during pre-pitch while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 81 MPH.
6/12/22
Physical: Taller, stretched out 6-foot, 160lb frame with RTF. 7.01 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Wider, open stance, as the hands showcased rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a leg lift back to even, controlling the body, and initiated the swing through a slight uphill path into the zone. Middle to pull side approach with big power to the RF line side, up to T91 mph bat-exit velocity. Leveraged strength when getting head out.
Defensively: The outfielder has surged defensively with rounded footwork and glove side appeal off the barrel. Quality reads with ability to start at either corner position; 84 mph arm. Intriguing athlete.
2/27/22
Physical: Lean, highly athletic 6-foot, 160lb frame. Feel evident. 7.28 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Slightly bent, open stance with the hands playing loosely, high to start. Utilized a controlled leg-hang stride to get back to even, initiating the swing through a whippy, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Recorded a T88 mph bat-exit velocity with plenty of consistency during his round towards a two-handed finish. Stayed in the legs well and bursted on the inner half, driving the ball an upwards of 326 feet on his best blast. Easy gap to gap juice and does damage when letting it travel with quick hands.
Defensively: The outfielder displayed solid reads off the bat with adequate footwork. Stalked the ball and fielded off his left, using a deliberate couple shuffles before releasing from a H ¾ slot up to 80 mph from his position. Accurate thrower, quicker pace in game.
6/15/21
Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 150lb frame with some projection left. 7.10 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Started from an open, loose setup coiled over the backside slightly. Utilized circular rhythm at the launch on time with a leg lift stride to initiate the bat head through a flat, connected path into the hitting zone. Mostly pull-side approach with high intent on the swing, looking to do damage using a trusted top hand that dominated the swing. Hit into a stiff front side, properly blocking off and generating juice down the RF line (T86 mph bat-exit velocity, 33% fly ball rate via Trackman) adding a 305 foot batted ball distance on his best swing.
Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated choppy feet on the approach, staying behind the ball and arriving on time with a soft glove hand absorbing inward. Clean exchange and multiple ready steps (right, left / right, left) before releasing from a quick high ¾ slot (82 mph arm, accurate).
2/27/21
Physical: 5’11 150 lb OF/MIF ran a 7.51 laser timed 60-yard dash. Still a young athlete with time to improve physical strength.
Offensively: A smooth left-handed swing with some hand/ barrel movement allows him to create a timing mechanism. Strides forward slightly to increase his power into the baseball. Seemed to hit most balls to his pull side gap.
Defensively: From the OF, he approaches the ball, catches cleanly followed by a glove tap before crow hopping and firing to the plate.Throws from a high, over the top, arm slot.
6/29/20
Physical: 5-foot-11, 140 pounds; lean, athletic build. 7.51 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Open slightly wide stance with bat waggle; lifts hands with some bat wrap, controlled closed stride from open stance. Average effort in lower half, transfers energy well with sweeping swing with some whip. Pull side approach with consistent line drive contact; Peak Trackman exit velocity of 77 MPH. Defensively: Low to the ground; smooth approach and footwork, gets in good athletic fielding positions. Clean seamless transfer; standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 72 MPH.
2/23/19
5-foot-9, 125-pound left-handed hitter starts with a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showcased feel with the ability to stay behind the ball during batting practice as he notched an impressive 80 mph bat-exit-velocity. Displayed athletic movements in the outfield recording 71 mph arm-strength from his position during defensive evaluations. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash.
