Game Performance

Notes

Comments

2/07/21

Physical: Long legged, lean 6-foot, 175-pound frame with projectability present. 7.20 runner in the 60-yard dash, flashing athleticism in the actions.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, open stance with the hands starting with rhythm by the ear. Utilized a barrel tip at the top of the load coupled with a toe tap stride allowing for increased timing at the front of the plate. Recorded an impressive 80% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball with a middle of the field approach; was up to a 288 foot max batted ball distance. An 88 mph bat-exit velocity gives confidence that doubles power can hold up in game action, giving him some relevance towards the top of the order.

Defensively: The shortstop flashed above-average footwork arriving on time at the fielding window. Easy glove hand actions with confidence in the timing, making the feet play at a near 4.20 second pace across the diamond. An 85 mph arm strength was live and carried across the diamond allowing him to make all the plays with comfortability.

Pitching: RHP - The righty showed advanced tempo in the delivery, nice drop and drive out of the stack creating good arm action through a high ¾ window. An 81-83 mph FB played well down in the zone with a low IVB profile. Mixed a short, two-plane 70 mph breaker with command in the zone (50% zone rate) while countering with feel for a 75 mph CH as well.

7/29/20
Physical: 5-foot-11, 150 pounds; lean, wiry build. 7.43 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even & upright stance with a pre-pitch bat waggle; high elbow load with slight bat wrap behind head, toe tap stride with lower half. Effortless lower half with swing has some natural lift, whips bat into zone. Through the middle of the field approach; peak Trackman exit velocity of 86 MPH.
Defensively: Walks into ready position; smooth & fluid through the ball, clean footwork, can cover ground laterally. Soft hands, clean transfer; standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 78 MPH.
Pitching: Center rubber setup, knee to belt leg lift with even stride to the plate; loose & effortless through motion & release, repeatable delivery. Short arm action, standard 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 79MPH, 77-79 MPH. Has some good arm side movement with FB. CB: 66-67 MPH. 12-6 rotation, gets good vertical break on the pitch.
