8/10/21

Physical: Thick, durable 6-foot-3, 220lb frame with a strong lower half and projection on the bump.

Pitching: RHP - Began off the left side of the rubber starting at a slightly offset position with the feet. Utilized a slow side rocker step on his way to a balanced stack at medium height. Separated and drove down the slope with intent, creating some whip from a higher OTT slot into the zone while getting over the front-side. The FB ranged from 82-84 mph at T2394rpms with good extension into the zone (57% strike rate via Trackman). Added a tough 72-74 mph breaker with hard down action (-9 inches IVB average) as the primary strikeout offering, mixing a developing 75-77 mph CH with good run on occasion.

6/13/21

Physical: Durable, well structured 6-foot-3, 220lb frame with natural strength in the actions.

Pitching: RHP - Started slightly off center on the left side of the rubber; short, quick side rocker into a fast paced, medium leg lift with hip-coil at the top of the stack. Maintained momentum with leg-drive down the rubber from a high-waisted build creating some life on an 81-83 mph FB, sinking into the zone (9.8 inches average IVB / 2000 spin rate average). Mixed some feel for a good 69-71 mph breaker with up to 16 inches of depth and countered with an adequate 72-74 mph CH thrown 6-8 mph off the fastball.

2/06/21

Physical: Large, well put together 6-foot-3, 225-pound frame with strength throughout.

Pitching: RHP - Worked from the middle/left side of the rubber flashing good pace in the delivery with hip coil at the top of the stack, fluidity in the arm swing with ability to get out and extended at release through a high ¾ slot. The FB (80-82 mph) jumped at the plate getting up to 2240 RPM’s of spin while holding the zone at a 40% rate. Paired it up with a tight 70 mph CB showing above-average depth (-16.4 inches of IVB) projecting as a future out pitch down the road. A 72-74 mph CH was thrown with confidence and fade to the arm side (12.9 inches of HM max).
