Physical: Large, uber-physical 6-foot-4, 233-pound frame with advanced strength in the movements. 8.09 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, slightly open stance with quick, but controlled wiggle in the hands at the shoulder. Utilized a leg-lift stride and above the shoulder launch position in order to initiate the barrel through a slightly uphill path and into the hitting zone. Hit into a stiff front side with some weight shift allowing for a quick rotational burst through the hitting window. Extended well at impact generating noticeable carry to the pull-side gap (351 foot batted ball distance). Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 94 mph as well as a 42% line drive rate demonstrating the ability to hit for average and power at the next level. With bat-exit velocities in the mid-70’s consistently, Slogik is looking to do significant damage each time he steps up to the plate.
Defensively: The primary first baseman displayed adequate feel around the bag with a moderate center of gravity in the approach. Bent at the waist at times but featured a soft glove hand with above-average pocket awareness. Was able to get back to the bag during double plays with natural instincts and could pick it in the dirt. INF - 73 mph
