2/27/22

Physical: Two-sport athlete with strength/durability to handle multiple positions. 7.63 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance that hides the letters on the backside. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through an efficient, flat path towards a two-handed finish. Simple, repeatable operation that connects well early in ball flight and can adjust to different quadrants. Gap to gap, line drive success on this date, which has carried over into high school season with a breakout year. T91 mph bat-exit velocity, 82 mph AVG. Gamer qualities that have shown up consistently.

Defensively: The primary shortstop demonstrated light feet on his toes and good posture at the fielding window. Stayed in rhythm towards the target and flashed range to his glove hand side. Natural internal clock and feel to make the play on the run smoothly/accurately. 82 mph arm strength across the diamond from a compact, H ¾ slot.

7/30/20

Physical: Lean / athletic 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame with ability to continue adding strength as he matures. 7.64 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with slight bend into a strong backside in the stance; the hands started controlled and idle between the shoulder / ear. Utilized a simple lift and replace stride allowing the hands to work through a flat barrel path with slight lift after contact. Short time to contact with a mature approach at the plate, consistently on time at the front of the plate with high level bat to ball skills. Carried the momentum over to game action with plenty of quality at bats and multiple extra base hits along the way // athletic and adjustable lower half repeatedly got the hands on plane early in the swing and could stay on the ball out over the plate and take it the other way. True gap to gap hitter and the power continues to improve each time we see him. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 85 mph per Trackman Baseball. Defensively: The primary shortstop featured solid footwork as he approached the ball with downhill momentum and fielded off of the left side of his body. Moved well laterally with natural instincts on the left side of the infield; made multiple sliding plays during game action and finished them off with an accurate high ¾ slot showing carry across the diamond. Made the play on the run with ease too, quality defender all around. INF - 79 mph

6/29/20

3/01/20
