6/18/14 Scala ran a solid 6.94 60-yard dash and showcased a 79 mph arm across the diamond with athletic actions. The left-handed hitter displayed the ability to use all fields from an open stance with a flat bat path through the hitting zone. Scala barreled the baseball a number of times in game play and ran a 4.35 to 1B on a ground out to 3B.
2/15/14 Scala showcased a solid 4.03 home-to-1B time from the left side of the plate and athletic actions defensively. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound junior displayed the ability to play the baseball on the move with a quick release on throws of 78 mph across the diamond. Scala hits from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short swing path to routinely square the baseball. He demonstrated an 82 mph bat exit velocity and the ability to use all fields.
