6/13/23

Physical: 6-2, 170 pounds; Long, slight build. 7.06 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a downward swing path with a a high finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 88 MPH. Glides around the outfield with confidence and displays throws with plenty of carry.

Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 81-83 MPH; straight action. CB: 67-69 MPH; spots and expands.  CH: 74 MPH; fading action.

2/27/22

Physical: Lengthy, lean 5-foot-10, 140lb frame. 7.62 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Narrow, slightly bent stance with the barrel tipped over the head. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat path into the hitting zone. Worked towards a high finish on the backside, and could get pushy with the barrel at times. Did well when getting the arms into space, accurate leverage at the front of the plate. Recorded a T76 mph bat-exit velocity (57% sweet spot rate) with more coming as he enters refinement.

Defensively: The middle infielder arrived with the left foot on time, fielding softly out in front. Gathered with two shuffles before releasing up to 77 mph across the diamond from his position (H ¾ slot, accurate). Made the play on the run, pace will continue to improve.

Pitching: RHP - The righty began off the far left side; drop step into a higher leg-lift at the chest. Good stride length and finishes over the front side from a H ¾ slot. The FB landed at 74 mph with some run characteristics, mixing a short upper-60’s CB that flashed 11/5 tilt. Added a 66-68 mph CH with developing fade to the arm-side.

6/22/21

Physical: 5-foot-7, 120 pounds; Athletic, slender build. 8.11 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet narrow; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a one-handed finish.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 78 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while covering ground laterally. Hands are soft with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle  from a standard 3/4 arm slot.   INF - 61 MPH.
