Physical: Strong and athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame with additional feel for the actions. 7.28 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Narrow, open stance bent into the backside with the hands showing rhythm pre-swing. Utilized a leg hang stride creating stretch upon footstrike while the bat head whipped through a flat path with lift after contact. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 90 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball while either missing just below or just above at impact (46% ground ball, 46% fly ball); peak batted ball distance of 320 feet during batting practice.
Defensively: The primary shortstop flashed above-average pace from the left side with ability to get rid of baseball. Low posture with confidence in the approach while fielding off of his left foot; accurate 84 mph from a “V slot.” Should stick at shortstop moving forward with some stuff to like.
