Physical: Compact 6-foot-1, 185lb frame with even proportions. 7.20 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Slightly open stance as the hands position themselves by the ear to start. Utilized a stretched lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path towards a one-handed finish on the backside. Recorded a 95 mph bat-exit velocity with gap to gap power and showed consistency by posting a 71% sweet spot rate. Barrel-finder that could adjust to different quadrants of the plate and maintained direction, 354 foot max distance.
Defensively: The backstop is an advanced defender presenting a low target and staying down through the hips as he sets the feet to throw. Traditional setup in the crouch and can alternate to knee-down if needed. Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.00 with a fast exchange and quick H ¾ slot on the release (79 mph). Then slid over to shortstop using choppy footwork and a glove-tap to get rid of the ball in rhythm. Followed the throw to the bag and notched an 85 mph best across the diamond.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance with loose hand operation hanging out by the ear. Got leveraged and created loud contact at the front of the plate allowing for a pull-side approach during batting practice and repeated PWR positions in the actions. Worked his way up to a T90 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball, adding a 70% fly ball rate (loft) as well as a 330+ foot batted ball distance.
Defensively: The primary backstop was one of the top defensive catchers in attendance; quiet left knee down setup with an early target and soft/subtle hand movements at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 1.88-1.94 with an immediate trigger and useful pre-catch rhythm, getting lightning quick feet into the ground and replaced on time at a fluid ¾ release (73 mph arm, accurate). Natural blocking skills burying the ball softly out over the plate for recovery ability.
