6/18/14 Kuczala went 2-for-6 with a double during game play with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitter displayed a bat waggle load from a square stance and the ability to barrel the baseball to all fields during batting practice. Kuczala ran a 6.94 60-yard dash and showcased an 85 mph arm in the outfield. The uncommitted junior showed athletic actions and precise routes to the baseball defensively.
2/15/14 Kuczala is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect that has put on 15 pounds of good weight in the past year. He moves well (4.08 home-to-1B) and showed an accurate 81 mph arm from the outfield. Kuczala hits from a square stance with a short path to the baseball. He displayed the ability to routinely square the baseball while using all fields. Kuczala showcased an 84 mph bat exit velocity and some gap power potential.
8/3/13 Kuczala is a 5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect that gets excellent reads in the outfield and takes precise routes to the baseball. His 4th inning, one-out single ignited a Team PA rally that propelled them to a 5-5 tie against Team Missouri. Kuczala has an athletic frame and should continue to get stronger as his body develops.
6/12/13 Kuczala is a 5-foot-10, 155-pound OF that showcased above average range and athletic actions defensively with an 80 mph throwing arm. The right-handed hitter displayed good hands and the ability to stay inside the baseball during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Kuczala went 2-for-7 in game play during the course of the event.
2/23/13 Kuczala showed well in all facets of the game. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed thrower showed athletic actions in the outfield and good carry on throws of 80 mph to home plate. The switch-hitter showed a short swing path and the ability to consistently square the baseball from both sides of the plate. His approach and results are nearly identical from each side with a 78 mph bat exit velocity.
1/26/13 Kuczala was impressive in all facets of the game. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound sophomore showed athletic actions and good carry on throws of 80 mph from the outfield. He showcased quick hands, and a short swing path from the right hand side of the plate with a 79 mph bat exit velocity. Kuczala also showed some potential as a left-handed hitter, but will need to continue to work to fully develop his swing from that side of the plate.
