9/13/15 6-foot, 170-pound left-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance and strides to slightly closed. Flashed some bat speed with a fairly short path and the potential for gap power (85-mph exit velocity). Closing himself off, at times, caused front hip to leave early in order to get bat into zone. Would benefit from strength gains to help consistently control the barrel at contact. Defensively, he showed good feet along with 71-mph arm strength.

Barreled the baseball when he got his foot down on time. Had multiple quality at-bats using the middle of the field in game action. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash and 4.62 in-game home-to-1B time. Showcased 83-mph exit velocity and 73-mph arm strength at 1B during workout. Exhibited solid feet defensively.
7/20/14 Thomas went 5-for-9 in game play over four games. The 6-foot, 155-pound left-handed hitter showcased an 83 mph bat exit velocity and the ability to barrel the baseball consistently to all fields from a slightly open stance with a high hands load. Thomas displayed a soft glove hand and good feet around the bag at 1B defensively and showed capable actions in the outfield as well. The sophomore ran a 7.21 60-yard dash and made several loud outs during the course of game action in addition to his five hits.
