Notes

Comments

6/15/23

Physical: 6-0, 160 pounds; Wiry, Lean build. 7.09 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a finish around the back.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; static during pre-pitch while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot.  OF - 85 MPH.

Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 77-82 MPH; arm side run. CB: 61-63 MPH; showed depth.

2/18/23

Physical: 6-foot-0, 150 pounds; Long, slender build. 7.6 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman. Pull-side approach with some pop.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot.   OF - 87 MPH. Showed off a plus arm with good actions to the baseball.

Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 78 MPH, while sitting 77-78 MPH; arm side run. CB: 62-66 MPH; 10-4 shape.  CH: 74-75 MPH; runs.  Displayed a repeatable, low effort delivery.

7/19/22

Physical: Lean, uber-projectable 6-foot, 145lb build. 7.45 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH. Slightly open, upright stance, as the hands operated flush on the shoulder to begin. Utilized a controlled toe-tap stride to initiate the swing through a smooth, flat path into the hitting zone. Stayed on-plane towards the finish, allowing for a line-drive approach to all fields and an 87 mph exit velocity. Featured clean separation in the box and a 60% sweet-spot rate.

Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated natural body control in space with an accurate glove-hand and ability to maintain tempo at the fielding window. Fielded in the pocket and delivered a live 86 mph throwing arm out of H ¾.

Pitching: LHP. Southpaw starts off the middle of the rubber; lightning-quick pace with a fast arm that repeats. Created life on a 79-81 mph FB and showed big depth at 62-63 mph on the CB. There’s feel to kill a 73-74 mph CH with some small fade to it.
