Physical: The recent Amherst College commit stands an athletic/twitchy 5-foot-9, 160lbs with some burst. 6.85 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Started from a balanced, slightly bent attack as the hands showed off quick rhythm at the shoulder; utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate momentum into the hitting zone through a flat path, handled pitches on the inner half with authority, driving it with no issues down the LF line for extra-base hits. Top of the order traits with good bat to ball skills, staying inside the baseball and balanced at the finish with consistency. Put on a show during his batting practice round, wearing out the LCF gap to the tune of a 56% line drive rate (Trackman Baseball) and posting a much improved 95 mph bat-exit velocity. Bat-speed continues increasing (70+ mph AVG) pointing towards the hard work he’s put in over the past year
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured above-average feel on the left side of the infield, gliding to spots and meeting the ball out in front at a low-postured position with a soft and trusted glove hand. Funneled inward with smooth pace and a clean exchange, handling plays on the run with ease in any direction. One of the more immediate triggers from a quick, high ¾ slot and throws starting to carry (85 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP - Stepped on the bump with athleticism that carried over, good pace to the delivery, reaching a medium stacked position before driving out with momentum into footstrike. Repeated well into the zone at 79-81 mph (FB, strikes, arm-side run) and went to a gradual 70-72 mph breaker at an 11/5 tilt in advantage counts.
6/15/20
Physical: Athletic, twitchy 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with advanced feel for his body and room to fill out as he matures. 7.03 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow, tall setup with a slightly open stance and the hands wiggling with depth behind the shoulder. Utilized a leg kick stride coupled with a rhythmic barrel tilt at the top of the load in order to initiate a slightly uphill swing through the hitting zone. Created hard contact to the pull-side gap during batting practice with present sink into the lower half. The barrel works short and direct to the ball with whip through contact allowing for advanced bat speed for his size.
Defensively: The primary shortstop played with a low center of gravity and quickness in the lateral movements allowing for advanced range to both sides and an above-average pace in the middle. Can go get it to his glove side and has the ability to flash the leather in game as well. The hands worked quickly during transfers and the footwork was flawless on double play opportunities. Showcased natural feel on the slow roller play with ability to get around the baseball and throw from multiple arm angles. Should be able to stick on the left side moving forward with solid arm strength across the diamond working through an athletic, high ¾ arm-slot. SS - 81 mph

5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Some lower half glide does not affect his ability to stay balance and to work his hands through contact. Registered a bat exit velocity of 85 mph and ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. Showcased athletic actions defensively with active feet and straight line carry on throws of 81 mph across the diamond.
