Physical: Athletic, lean 5-foot-8, 150lb frame with room to continue filling out as he matures. 6.69 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, open stance with the hands showing slight wiggle flat above the shoulder. Utilized a repeatable lift and replace stride in order to initiate a quick bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Was able to lift on occasion while staying balanced in the swing; controlled rotation into the window and found hard contact over the middle of the field, gap to gap during his batting practice round. Confident athlete that featured adjustability in the box, was able to go down and match pitch-plane on pitches all over the plate. Recorded an 86 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball with more coming.
Defensively: The primary centerfielder demonstrated one of the more likeable defensive rounds. Covered plenty of ground with good routes/reads off the bat. Downhill approach and fielded softly with a clean exchange off the inside of the left foot; held momentum with up-tempo pace, and delivered strikes to home plate from a long, loose arm slot (83 mph).
Pitching: RHP - Worked from the stretch only slightly off-centered to start from the left side of the rubber. High, controlled leg lift before hand break on time and releasing through a quick, whippy high ¾ slot. The FB jumped at the plate from 82-84 mph, getting up to T86 this weekend at the MSI Tournament scouted by PBR. Good, tight slider at 70-73 flashing late, hard bite on a horizontal plane (10 inches HM average).
