9/10/17 - 6-4, 210-pound first basemen. The switch hitter hit from the left side in his two at bats. Hits from a straight on, upright stance w/ bat resting on his back shoulder. Toe tap w/ proper load. Above avg bat speed. Hit a fly ball and walked in his two plate appearances. Defensively, made all the plays and showed avg arm strength. Tennessee commit.
6/10/15 - The 6 foot 3 ,185-pound prospect posted an 8.02 60 time and had a 74 mph position velocity across the infield. Defensively Cooper has soft hands and shows natural instincts , has solid footwork around the bat. Offensively from both sides of the plate, Cooper had an 89 mph exit velocity off the tee. From the left side Cooper hits more from an open setup and from the right side which is his natural side, hits from more of a balanced setup. Cooper very good bat speed, short stride , good balance, confident at the plate. Cooper is a gap to gap type hitter as of now but should develop into a power type guy as he continues to get physically stronger. Cooper went 0-for-5 in game play making several hard outs.
1/17/15- The 6 foot 3, 175-pound prospect showed very good projectability with a big, athletic build and room to add to his frame, exit velocity off the tee was 89 mph, ran a 4.69 home to first base time,the switch hitter hit from an open stance, had a slight leg kick, smooth load and good balance, generates good bat speed, power type hitter, hits well from both sides of the plate, very advanced hitter for his age. Position velocity across the infield was 74 mph, had soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, big time prospect to keep an eye on.
