5-foot-11, 195-pound, RHH hit from a wider and slightly open stance but with a higher initial hand positioning than we saw from him at the Top Prospect Games, stride is still short but showed a little more movement and fluidity and paired with a lowering and pushback of his hands to get loaded, lower half is strong and balanced and absolutely explodes his hips through the zone, bat path gets on plane early and stays there for a long time, drives the ball in the air with some real gap-to-gap pop. Defensively, showed above-average hands and quick footwork behind the plate, exchange was quick and efficient and allowed him to get rid of the ball through a high ¾ release point, showed versatility by participating in the outfield as well. Definitely one of the stand out participants of the event.
6/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.04, Pop Time: 1.99-2.16, Position Velocity: C-72, Exit Velocity: 81
5'10, 180-pound, RHH hits from a wide and slightly open stance and uses a short stride and a controlled and rhythmic movement down and back with his hands to really get loaded. Lower half works great as he clears his hips quickly and gets very good separation from his hands, uses his backside very well for a 2018 graduate and is able to get his barrel on plane early and keep it there for a long time, stayed balanced and very stable throughout his swing, slightly upward swing path generated a ton of line drives to all parts of the field, recorded a single and a double that nearly got out in game play. Defensively, showed average hands and footwork as he can work on staying loose his receiving, did show a quick exchange and release through a short arm action and an over-the-top slot, throws had decent carry and were always around the bag, sat very high when recording pop times.
1/17/15 - The 5-foot-10 , 170-pound prospect showed good projectability and an athletic build, showed good bat speed for age with 83 mph exit velocity, ran a home to first base time of 4.60, hit from an open stance, had a short stride, average balance , good bat speed, level swing with fluid rhythm, gap to gap type hitter with future power potential. Position velocity from behind the plate was 66 mph, pop time ranged from a 2.25-2.33, needs to work on arm strength moving forward, had soft hands and footwork stays mostly online.
