6.19.18
Physical 6-0, 187-pound frame with wide shoulders, and a strong lower half.  Dallas Baptist commit. Freeman crushed a 95 mph exit velo off the tee, and the power translated into BP where he put on a show making loud contact throughout the round.  Freeman starts in a slightly open athletic stance with his hands high, he has a smooth load into his backside with a small leg kick, and he lowers his hands into a nice slot and works from behind the ball to create power and lift in his swing.  Freeman drove the ball deep to the gaps in batting practice and he left the yard to left field. He has easy effort in the swing, and excellent balance with explosive bat-speed. Freeman showed fluidity in his footwork working around the baseball, transfer and his quick release.  He made accurate throws with carry across the infield at 91 mph. Fundamentally sound infielder with the ability to make the play on the run and to change arm angles effectively. Freeman ran a 7.24 laser-timed 60. On the mound, the arm strength translated and Freeman was 89-91 mph with a fastball that has life out of his hand.  He has a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm speed. He maintains balance and fluidity in his delivery, and there is some effort involved. He threw his slider from 78-79, and the pitch has tight spin. Freeman has the potential to be a two-way player with his high-end tools.

1.20.18
DBU commit. Freeman once again showed off why he is one of the top players in Texas. His last swing of batting practice was a mamo-tank bomb to left field. The right-handed hitter has easy rhythm, and strong pull side pop. He starts from a tall, open stance with his hands up above his back shoulder. Early smooth load back, triggers his hands down, cocking the bat head over his head, then strides out, landing soft. Short path to ball, generates easy gap power (96 exit velo) with more to come. Uphill plane with a loose finish creates lift and carry, ball jumps off his bat. On the infield, he threw 89 across the diamond with plus carry. Soft hands, quick footwork, can play on the run. A dynamic two-way prospect, Freeman’s fastball sat 89 mph with late life. Sharp slider with 11/5 shape at 77. Changeup flashes depth to his arm side at 80 mph.

10.28.17 Dallas Baptist recruit. Freeman has an athletic, strong frame at 6-foot-1, 182-pounds. The right-handed hitter had a great all-around day, he put on a power display in batting practice (93 mph exit) showing easy rhythm, and strong pull side pop. He starts from a tall, open stance with his hands up above his back shoulder. Early smooth load back, triggers his hands down, cocking the bat head over his head, then strides out, landing soft. Short path to ball, generates easy gap power with more to come. Uphill plane with a loose finish creates lift and carry, ball jumps off his bat. On the infield, he has more than enough arm strength to stay at third base in college, throwing 91 mph across the diamond. Plays through the ball with smooth footwork and soft hands.

On the mound, the right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a quick arm stroke. Athletic, drop and drive delivery with regular effort, lands in-line with front foot closed. Fastball sat mostly 89-90 mph with good late life, dropping only a couple times to 87 and 88. Flashes arm side sink on two-seamer. Sharp curveball at 75-77 mph with 11/5 shape and short downer break.

6-foot, 180-pound frame. Fluid swing with short, compact path, strength at contact, loose finish in the barrel. Leg-kick to get started, lands in good launch position with hands back. Defensively plays low with good mobility. Solid arm strength with good elbow dominated action. Shows ability to field and throw on the run.
