Swoboda has a durable frame with broad shoulders and present strength at 6-foot-2, 208-pounds. The right-handed hitter starts from a wide base with his hands already set behind his back shoulder. Early leg lift to load back, slots the barrel into the zone with a front arm bar as he attacks the inside part of the ball. Current gap power, flashing some lift to the pull side with a top exit velocity on the field of 96 mph. Behind the plate, he posted pop times of 2.15-2.4 with a top velocity from the crouch of 78 mph. A two-way player and right-handed pitcher, Swoboda works from a high-¾ slot with a drop-and-drive delivery. Throws a heavy fastball with tilt at 82-83 mph. His curveball has downer shape at 66-69, while his slider has shorter, later action at 69-71 mph.
