Saenz has a durable frame with a strong lower half at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. The right-hander works from a high slot with fast arm swing. Drop-and-drive delivery, he gets good down the mound with good hip turn, landing in line with an athletic finish. Threw a sharp slider at 75-76 mph with late bite. His fastball was 84-87 with tilt.

Drop-and-drive delivery, he gets good down the mound with good hip turn, landing in line with an athletic finish. His fastball topped out at 89 mph, sitting mostly 86-87 mph with tilt. His curveball was 75-78 from the windup with early break and 12/6 shape, but he did throw a sharper one from the stretch at 74 mph. His changeup was 78-80 mph with arm side fade.
