Houston recruit. 6-foot-1, 185-pound, loose, athletic frame. Cherry, who is currently ranked the No. 11 prospect in Texas and No. 55 Overall, played shortstop and has high end arm strength with solid footwork and soft hands. The junior right-handed hitter plays with confidence and "swagger", with plenty of bat-speed, quick hands, and strength at contact. Showed easy pull side pop on 3-0 count when he hammered a home run foul. Ran a 4.5-second home to first time on a ground ball. Cherry is a two way player with all around high-end tools that could garner the attention of pro scouts in the next year.

6-foot-1, 178-pound frame. Shows athletic fast twitch actions on defense. Threw very well from the outfield a solid transfer and very good arm speed with carry on the ball. Showed the ability to handle off speed in one at-bat where he just missed a curveball and hit a high infield fly with a 6-second hang time.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound, two-way player has a live arm. The young 2018 right-hander utilized a short, quick arm with a fastball that sat 87-91 with late life, and a hard 75-78 slider with tight spin and big break. Cherry got through his slider very well with a short stroke and high ¾ slot. The two-way player shows athletic, fast- twitch actions on defense. Threw very well from the outfield with a solid transfer and very good arm speed with carry on the ball. Showed the ability to handle off speed and takes good swings against velocity.
