Schlaegel’s athleticism stands out right away when you watch him. He has run in the 6.6’s in the past at our events, and the speed translates to the game. He showed the wheels off with a triple to go along with two other hits. He also showed the speed and range off defensively in Center. He tracked down a ball hit directly over him on the warning track. The Future Game participant shouldn’t stay uncommitted for long.
1/19/22
Schlaegel put on a show in all facets on Monday. The bouncy Outfielder ran a 6.67 60, had exit velocities up to 99 and was 93 from the outfield. His athleticism is evident in everything he does. The speed translates on the field and he should have no problem sticking in Center at the next level. At the plate, he has above average bat speed and has shown the ability to drive the ball out of the yard. The Future Games participant impresses everytime we see him, and it is only a matter of time before the offers begin to roll in.
