At 5-foot-4, 135-pounds, Sanchez might not be the biggest player on the block, but he sure can pick it on the infield and has the arm strength that will translate to the next level. The right-handed hitter glides his hands back in rhythm with his top-half, as his head never moves off the centerline. He showed off loose wrists and a compact attack through the zone, where he creates a lot of space for his barrel and addresses the baseball with force. Barrel stays in the zone a long time with a middle of the field, contact approach. On the infield, Sanchez uses his low center of gravity to his advantage as he moves laterally and towards home plate with solid tempo. Polished, fundamental actions, can throw from different slots with high end accuracy and feel as he topped out at 88 across the diamond. In all scenarios, he displayed advanced footwork and squared his shoulders towards first base. Plays with high energy and presence, a leader.

5-foot-4, 130-pound frame. Sanchez continues to impress with his fundamental, fast-twitch actions at shortstop and feel for the game in the middle of the field. High motor, gritty, "gamer" type player. Holds runners at second base, vocal communicator, good feel for starting and finishing the pivot at shortstop. Quick feet, smooth actions, quick mid-line exchange, aggressive footwork as he plays through the ball. Accurate arm with true carry across the infield at 86 mph. Plays catch at a high level, can make the play on the run, ball sticks in his glove. A right-handed hitter, Sanchez has a balanced setup with his weight slightly shifted to his front leg. Smooth load back as he triggers his hands, short stride, good lower half weight transfer. Quick hands through the zone with good extension through contact. Line drive approach during batting practice, repeatable swing with sharp liners through the middle and an exit velocity of 83 mph. During the game he was 1-for-2 with a sharp single through the left side and a pop up to shortstop that he just missed on the barrel with a full hack.

Sanchez may have a smaller frame at 5-foot-4, 127-pounds, but he plays the game in fast forward with high energy and active body language. He took the field during the second game of the day and completely energized both teams by just being active, vocal, and locked-in. Top step of the dugout player, first guy on and off the field. Defensive skills set is solid, with quick feet, good rhythm to his glove side and clean exchanges. Sanchez has outstanding glove action, he made virtually every pick with ease at second base during the catchers workout. Although his arm strength is average right now with a velocity of 82 mph, he is an accurate thrower with a very good sense of "timing" in game. Arm works from different slots and he can play on the run. Offensively, the right-handed hitter has a simple swing, starting from a wide stance with his weight pushed slightly toward his front leg. He loads smooth and easy, loose hands with good rhythm. Short strider, simple weight transfer with balance, contact approach through the middle, short path with good barrel awareness. To put it simple, Sanchez is a gritty, confident, grinder type player that makes his team better.
