He has a deceptively slower delivery, considering his arm is quick to get in front at release as his fastball jumps out of his hand. In the bullpen his fastball was 88-89 mph, topping out at 90, and 91 mph. His changeup was 74-77 mph. Montgomery was on the side of his curveball at 68-70 mph with loose spin.
