02.23.18 Howard JC commit. The right-hander was on a mission Friday morning, pitching with intent and tempo. He works ultra-quick between pitches, pounding both sides of the plate with his fastball ranging from 85-89 mph, topping out once at 90. Cole works from a ¾ slot with a long, loose arm stroke and smooth delivery. Strong front side, stays on line and repeats his delivery with a long stride down the mound. He mowed through the Stratford lineup, eventually recording a perfect game. His slider has sharp, short, late bite at 76-78 mph with 10/4 shape. Can throw his changeup in any count with arm side fade, depth, and same arm speed at 74-78 mph. He was still touching 88 and 89 in his last inning of work.
05.18.17 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame. The right-hander works from a side arm slot with a long arm swing and a repeatable delivery. His fastball has arm side run at 83-86 mph. His best off speed pitch is a changeup that he can throw in any count at 73-75 mph. Cole maintains arm speed on the changeup and flashes swing and miss depth. He only threw a handful of sliders ranging from 70-76 mph. The pitch sits up out of his hand and has lateral movement.

03.31.17 - Large framed reliever works from a low-¾-side arm slot with a long, easy arm action, repeatable delivery, and directional front side. Cole worked 1.1 innings of relief to get the win for Carroll, striking out two with no walks, and no runs allowed. His fastball was 84-87 mph, working mostly at 85-86 mph. His best offspeed pitch was his bowling-ball changeup that had heavy depth at 74-76 mph. His slider came in at 69 mph with gradual, lateral break.
