Cole works from a ¾ slot with a long, loose arm stroke and smooth delivery. Strong front side, stays on line and repeats his delivery with a long stride down the mound. He mowed through the Stratford lineup, eventually recording a perfect game. His slider has sharp, short, late bite at 76-78 mph with 10/4 shape. Can throw his changeup in any count with arm side fade, depth, and same arm speed at 74-78 mph. He was still touching 88 and 89 in his last inning of work.
05.18.17 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame. The right-hander works from a side arm slot with a long arm swing and a repeatable delivery. His fastball has arm side run at 83-86 mph. His best off speed pitch is a changeup that he can throw in any count at 73-75 mph. Cole maintains arm speed on the changeup and flashes swing and miss depth. He only threw a handful of sliders ranging from 70-76 mph. The pitch sits up out of his hand and has lateral movement.
