5-foot-11, 178-pounds, at the plate had a balanced setup, was slightly early and wanted to pull the ball during BP. Had an exit velocity of 83 mph from the tee. In the field showed fundamentally sound actions making accurate throws at 85 mph. On the day Romero also ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. On the mound throws from a low ¾ arm slot, slightly stabs and has a delay in his arm path but overall showed the ability to repeat the delivery and throw strikes with all 3 pitches. Fastball came in at 80-82 with some arm side run, and paired that with a slider that came in at 74 mph with tight spin. Also mixed in a changeup at 75 mph with solid arm speed.

Has a controlled, compact swing that starts with a large leg kick and then stays narrow with rotation. Bat makes an uppercut through the zone, consistent barrel connection, and he keeps his weight back through contact. 84 mph exit velo off the tee. Some snap to the hands following short load. Defensively shows good glove work and a strong, accurate arm clocking 82 across the field. Makes smooth transitions with the ball, and shows good instincts.
