01.13.18 Gullo had himself a solid all-around day. After running a 7.18 60-yard dash, Gullo showed gap power from the left side. He starts from a neutral stance, then uses a reverse leg lift to push back as he triggers his hands, landing closed. Quick hands through the zone with a short path and strong top hand. Drove the ball well to the pull side as he finishes the barrel, and has an exit velocity of 84 mph. During the game, Gullo roped a double to right-centerfield. At shortstop, Gullo plays through the ball with quick footwork and good rhythm. Throws with a quick, loose arm stroke from a ¾ slot at 86 mph with good carry. On the mound, the right-hander pitched at 85-88 mph with tons of arm side run from a high-¾ slot with a loose, quick arm stroke. His curveball has really good depth and bite at 71-73 mph with 11/5 shape. Mixes in a 74-75 mph changeup with arm side run.

07.25.17 - Gullo has an athletic, lean, 6-foot, 160-pound frame. The right-hander works from a ¾ slot with a longer, whip-like, quick arm stroke. Athletic delivery down the mound with good energy in his lower half and a fairly athletic finish as he falls off to his glove side. His fastball jumps out of his hand at 83-87 mph with a clean release. He stays on top of the ball well, occasionally creating some heavy action at the bottom of the zone. His breaking ball came in at 72-73 mph and varies between 10-4 and 11-5 shape and occasional depth. He throws his changeup with fastball arm speed at 72-74 mph. With his athleticism and arm action, look for Gullo to continue to make jumps in the near future. A two-way player and left-handed hitter, Gullo starts from a balanced, neutral, slightly crouched stance. Slow load into a leg kick, dives toward the plate with a longer stride as he leaks to his front side. Uses top hand to delivery barrel, short follow through, limited weight shift from back leg. Average power with an exit velocity of 84 mph, mix of ground balls from the middle to pull side with line drives up the middle. At shortstop, Gullo throws from a quick-¾ slot across the diamond at 86 mph with good carry and average accuracy. Average feet and hands, longer mid-line transfer, creates tempo and momentum after the catch into his throwing motion.
