Hit: RH. Balanced stance, leg lift load trigger, barrel tilt swing trigger, uphill swing plane, middle of the field approach hitting primarily line drives. 

Power: 94.94 mph max exit velocity in BP, 87.77 mph average exit velocity, 315 feet max distance, and 40% of batted balls over 90 mph exit velocity.

Arm: LH. OF - 84 mph. Long arm action, ¾ slot, good carry on throws at times, accurate throws.

Defense: Good hands with a clean funnel to release, fields the ball in rhythm towards target, good footwork getting in position. 

Run: 6.97 runner in the 60.

At 5-foot-9, 140-pounds, Pate has an athletic, quick-twitch frame. The right-handed hitter laced line drives through the middle of the field with carry through the gaps and a top exit velocity of 86 mph off the tee. Excellent rhythm with loose hands that whip the barrel through the zone on a mostly flat path. Does a nice job of getting extended through contact and shows quality feel to hit. Athletic footwork in the outfield, he plays the ball off his glove side then throws from a ¾ slot with a short arm circle and top velocity to the plate of 71 mph.

5-foot-9, 140-pounds. Pate is a young right-handed hitter with an aggressive hack, quick hands, a solid feel for the barrel. Using a leg kick load, he strides forward as his hands slide back, getting into his legs and delivering leverage through contact with a gap approach and line drive power. In the outfield, he plays through the ball with soft hands as he attacks the ball and cuts distance, throwing from a short, high-¾ slot.

Pate has a fast-twitch, athletic frame at 5-foot-9, 140-pounds. The right-handed hitter has quick hands with lag in the barrel through the zone that creates carry in the middle of the field with a top exit velocity of 84 mph. Barreled it up during BP, making hard contact and showing barrel awareness. In the outfield, he plays aggressively through the ball with smooth footwork, soft hands, relaxed exchange and a quick arm stroke that produced a top velocity of 74 mph. Ran a 7.2 60-yard dash.
