10.28.17 Lambert is a fast-twitch athlete with a lean-muscular frame at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. All fall, Lambert has separated himself as one of the top uncommitted outfielders in the 2018 class. He can handle the bat from the left side, is a sub-7 runner (6.89, 6.97 in two events this fall), and has a plus arm in the outfield (89 mph). During batting practice, the left-handed hitter showed a relaxed, line-drive approach with loose hands and smooth rhythm. He has a flat path, quick hands, and whips the barrel through the zone with relative ease. Showed up on time and peppered the middle of the field with hard liners to the outfield, as well as getting to balls on the inner half with an exit velocity of 88 mph off the tee. During the game, Lambert smoked a fly ball to centerfield off a two-strike curveball. In the outfield, Lambert moves with easy athleticism and rhythm, clean exchange into his crow hop, long arm stroke from a high slot with a quick hand back to front. Good carry and accuracy with a top velocity of 89 mph.
