Kampschror is a Virginia commit. Strong 6-3 athletic frame with some projection left to it. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, loose arm with some effort to his delivery. Fastball started out 87-88, touching 89 twice with some late armside run and heavy sink, settled into 85-87 after his first few batters. Gave up a tick and was more 85-86 in the stretch. Showed a few change-ups at 83 which played more like two-seamers. Slider with good armspeed and some late hard break at 81-83, more like a cutter with a bit of snap. Was around the zone with all three pitches, but did not command them well within the zone. Threw over 90% fastball, punched out five hitters in two innings, but had trouble working ahead and finishing off hitters early in the count.

Kampschror has an athletic frame with strength present and some projection left to it. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a long free arm action, normal effort to his drop and drive delivery, shoulders uphill and closed, lands slightly closed with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 85-87, touching 88 a few times, pitch had very heavy sink and a touch of armside run to it. Showed a curveball in warm-ups with late hard 2/8 break to it and good armspeed. Will generate a lot of ground balls and create a tough angle on lefthanded hitters.

Kampschror has a mature athletic frame with some projection left to it. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a longer free arm action that has some quickness to it. Normal effort to his delivery. Slight lefty crossfire with closed and uphill shoulders creates some angle and deception to his pitches. Fastball was 78-83, touching 84 multiple times in the early innings. Pitch had late heavy run and some downward plane to it. When in stretch, mixed between a leg lift and slide step, kept his velocity when leg lifted, gave up a few ticks to slide step, sitting at 80. Held velocity well in the early innings, working 81-83, started tailing off in the fifth when he worked 78-81 and touched 82. Was around the strike zone, but was not aggressive in it, nibbled some and fell behind hitters that were overmatched, walking 4 in five innings. Also did not show ability to command ball within the zone, not throwing to spots. It was a very cold day with heavy winds blowing across the field which needs to be taken into account with regards to his command. Threw over 85% fastballs, did throw a curveball with some armspeed with 1/7 break that was 71-74. Break was more gradual when it was 71, became harder at the 73-74 end. Did not show a change-up.
